TUN 10.0.1 Manual Installation Instructions
MODEM CONNECTION
- Insert the TUN 10.0.1 CD into the CD-ROM drive.
- If the auto play feature of your CD-ROM is active the installation program will start
automatically. Otherwise double click on MY Computer, then double click the CD-ROM drive,
and finally double click on install.exe.
- You should now see a TUN window with several options. Click on Installation.
- Wait for the install program to load then click Next when the prompt appears.
- Enter the Serial Number and Activation Key when prompted to do so, and then click Next. See
instructions above under the heading Obtaining Your Activation Key if you have not
yet used your secret code to get your activation key.
- Click Next again to install the standard version with Active-X components
- Click Next to proceed with the Typical installation.
- Click Next one more time to accept your choices.
- TUN 10.0.1 should now begin to install.
- Once installation has completed click on OK to restart your computer.
- After your computer has finished rebooting, click on Start → Programs → Esker Tun →
Application Access → Connections Wizard.
- Double click on Unix Emulation.
- You should now see a window titled Open Session – [Telnet].
- Click the down arrow in the Connection Type box and then select TAPI modem.
- Click the down arrow in the Terminal Type box and select Wyse 50.
- Click the down arrow in the Display Settings box and select wyse.
- In the Phone Number box, enter the modem phone number of the of the collection agency you
wish to dial into. If the call is local do not enter the area code.
- Click OK.
- Your modem will now attempt to dial into the collection agency. If your modem
connects properly you will see a window titled Connection Wizard: Step 2. If your
modem does not connect properly you will see one of several possible messages. See
Trouble Shooting below for what to do if this happens. Once the problem has been
resolved you will see the window titled Connection Wizard: Step 2. You may then
continue onto the next step.
- Please Note: At some point the message box EmulX connection closed by
foreign host may appear. If this box appears click on OK to close the message
